Chris was awesome. very knowledgeable, fast and great to have. you are lucky to have him on your team.
I arrived on site to perform an inspection on a Trane air conditioning unit. During the inspection I found that the unit's capacitor terminal had melted and fused together, making it impossible for the unit to work. I informed the customer of the cost of replacing the terminal, and the customer opted to replace the system entirely. The unit was not operational at the time of departure.
I removed a Payne Electric Furnace and a Goodman Heat Pump. I installed a Five Star Multi-Speed 3 Ton Electric Furnace / Fan and a Five Star 14 SEER 3 Ton Heat Pump. Cycled and monitored the system. Operating normally at this time. Included with the installation is a free 1 year service maintenance agreement.
I completed scheduled maintenance spring tune up on a Carrier heat pump. I visually inspected the furnace. I inspected the evaporator coil. I checked the temperature difference across the coil. Checked voltage and amps. Inspected heat pump. Checked refrigerant charge, voltages and amps. I rinsed the condenser coils with water. Cycled and monitored the system. Operating normally at this time.
I completed a diagnostic on a Bryant gas furnace. Upon arrival found there was an error code for ignition lockout. Reset and cycled furnace. Determined that the ignitor failed. I gave the client an estimate to replace the ignitor. Client authorized repair. I replace the ignitor. I cleaned the flame sensor. I cleaned the condensate trap. I completed the combustion analysis. Furnace passed the combustion analysis. Cycled and monitored the system. Operating normally at this time. Based on age (22 years old), cost of all seen repairs and future unseen repairs, lack of efficiency I recommend planning on replacing the furnace in near future.
