Excellent service and advise on what we need to review. I would recommend this service highly.
I completed scheduled maintenance spring tune up on a Carrier air conditioner. I visually inspected the furnace. Checked voltage and amps. I inspected the evaporator coil. I checked the temperature difference across the coil. Checked refrigerant charge, voltages and amps. I rinsed the condenser coils with water. Cycled and monitored the system. Operating normally at this time.
I provided an estimate to install a Five Star 96% 100,000 BTU Gas Furnace 5T 21", and a Five Star 16 SEER 4 Ton Air Conditioner.
I replaced the furnace blower motor, cycled system and confirmed that the Carrier system is now heating properly. I pulled and cleaned the flame sensor and confirmed that the blower amps and igniter are reading within specifications. System heating properly at this time.
I cycled the Trane system and found that motor tries to turn on but wheel does not spin and the bearings are tight. I found that the blower motor has failed and I explained all repair and replace options with customer. Customer would like to repair and we will order new blower motor.
I found the compressor to not even be wired, but it was also damaged. There was still an electrical issue between the disconnect and the breaker box, I informed the customer of this issue. I recommended to the customer that they would have to replace the compressor, possibly the whole system. My supervisor and I will return to provide an estimate.
I completed a fall tune up on a Trane gas furnace. I visually inspected the unit. Noted that the burners and blower motor was dusty. I cleaned the flame sensor. Checked voltages, amps and pressures. Completed combustion analysis. Cycled and monitored system. Operating normally at this time.
